Adam came to the U.S. to escape persecution.

Adam left his home country and came to the U.S. after being persecuted because of his sexuality. Once here, he won asylum with the help of his pro bono attorney Justin Becker from Sidley Austin LLP.

However, when Adam was ready to advocate for his green card, the U.S. government made a complicated legal argument that could have blocked his path. Working together, Adam and Justin skillfully navigated the legal argument and secured Adam’s green card.
