Kathryn Doan joined the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights in 2008.

During her tenure, the organization expanded from a staff of six to a staff of over 100. Prior to joining Amica Center, she was the Deputy Director of the Central American Resource Center in Washington, DC, where she also managed the agency’s Immigration Legal Services and Community Support Services programs.

Kathy is the recipient of several awards including the D.C. Bar Foundation’s Jerrold Scoutt Prize, the Washington Council of Lawyers’ Presidents Award for Public Service, and the DC Courts’ Community, Outreach, Recognition and Opportunity (CORO) Award. She is a graduate of Cornell University and Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, and playing with her three cats.
