Amica Center for Immigrant Rights values your privacy and maintaining the security of the information provided by supporters is a priority.
We do not sell, lease, or exchange your contact information (name, email, address, or phone number) with third party organizations. We may use your information to comply with the law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to abide by the requirements of law or comply with legal process served on us.
Information automatically collected: We collect select information automatically when you visit our website, as all other websites do as well. This is non-personally identifiable information, and we only use it for internal administrative purposes.
Online donations: Select personally identifiable information is required to process online donations. You can opt to make your donation ‘anonymous’ on the online donation form. Amica Center may use third-party platforms for select fundraising campaigns. Information collected on third-party platforms may be used to help support our advocacy and fundraising efforts.
Social media: Each social media network maintains its own privacy practice. Please educate yourself about the privacy practices of each social network in which you participate. Amica Center may use personal information collected by these social media platforms to create targeted online campaigns to promote our programs, events, and for fundraising purposes.
Cookies and clear GIFs: Cookies and clear GIFs are technologies that allow websites to track certain usage information and remember users when they return to a website.
Email newsletters and other email lists: If you wish to receive select or all our newsletters, you may provide us with your email address. We may send you information about Amica Center, our partners, and third parties from time to time. Information collected may be used to help support our advocacy and fundraising efforts.
Links: Amica Center’s website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policy or content of external sites. Please be aware when leaving Amica Center’s website. We encourage users to review the privacy policy of other websites, including those that collect personally identifiable information.
Mailing and calling lists: We may sometimes use personally identifiable information you have voluntarily provided us, to help support our advocacy and fundraising efforts.
Interactive services: Any communications you submit or post to the Amica Center listserv, our social networking sites, or other interactive features may be viewable by other participants or users of the service. Therefore, you should understand that you have no expectation of privacy or confidentiality in the content you submit to such interactive features, whether it contains personally identifiable information about you.
Amica Center Listserv: The Amica Center listserv provides a forum for information sharing, networking, and strategizing ongoing solutions to common issues. Listserv members include non-profit immigration service providers, immigrant advocacy organizations, and members of the private immigration bar. As a listserv member, you will have access to these invaluable resources.
You have access and control over your information. You may contact Amica Center directly at development@caircoalition.org or by sending a letter to “Amica Center, Attn: Privacy Policy, 1025 Connecticut Avenue NW, Suite 701, Washington, D.C. 20036” to request the following:
– to be removed from future mailing lists
– to be unsubscribed from our email distributions lists (this can also be done by using the “unsubscribe” link included in all Amica Center emails)
– to be excluded from data sets used to create targeted online promotional campaigns
– to be listed as “Anonymous” in any public donor lists
– to review what data we have about you, if any
– to change/correct data we have about you
– to express concern about our use of your data
