Ask about administrative support

  • A willingness to share your time and skills.

No other prior experience is necessary, although it’s a bonus if you have experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, and advocacy—or if you have technical expertise, such as knowledge of tools like Microsoft Excel and Power Automate.

  • We can use support in a variety of areas.

Most volunteers help us complete tasks that place a large time burden on our staff, like stuffing and addressing envelopes or entering data into our client database. However, please share if you have specific skill sets that you’d like to use.

For instance, if you are an Excel expert, you could automate a few of our spreadsheets—or if you have an extensive network, you can support our fundraising efforts. We are always looking for volunteers with diverse skills who would like to support our work.

  • We’d like you to have weekly or one-time availability.

Because volunteers assist staff with ongoing, longer-term projects, we ask most volunteers to provide weekly availability for a minimum of three months. However, we occasionally offer one-off opportunities, such as letter writing, envelope stuffing, or limited research projects.

  • Both remote and in-person opportunities are available.

Depending on the type of support, some tasks may be completed remotely, while others will be completed in person at Amica Center’s DC Office.

  • No.

No training is required for this opportunity.
